From Dry to Moisturized: Tips for the Winter Months


With the weather changing, to the colder side unfortunately, it is important that we start to think about our skin. In the winter months, our skin becomes dry, and begins to crack. Our lips also take a hit, with them becoming very chapped. Luckily for us, there are many easy ways to prevent this from happening!

1) Wear Sunscreen: This is especially important in the summertime, but your skin will thank you all year round. When choosing the right sunscreen, make sure it is SPF 30, and has some moisturizer in it!

2 )Wash your face daily: Knowing your skin type is an important factor in picking the right face wash. You want to have a face wash that is compatible with your type of skin, so it is the most effective. Also, when washing your face make sure you are deeply cleansing it!

3) Don’t forget the lips!: Keeping your lips moisturized is very important, especially during the winter months. By applying lip balm, or Vaseline, it will help keep your lips nice and smooth.

4) Keep a healthy diet: What we eat is very important to how our skin looks. Diets that’s rich in Omega 3s, whole grains, and B Vitamins are essential to maintaining skin’s youthful glow. Be sure to incorporate plenty of fruits, vegetables and lean proteins in your diet.

5) Spa Treatments: Treat your skin to facials, body wraps, paraffin hand dips and other spa services. This is an easy way to remove toxins from the skin, and give it a really deep cleanse, which is perfect for the winter time.

All these things are very important to keep our skin from becoming very dry and rough Doing these things will help you make it part of your routine, and your skin will thank you!
